【摘要】:Coveragechartslisttherequiredinstalledandproductin-serviceparametersofminimumthickness,maximumnetcoverageperpackage,andminimummassperunitareatoachieveeachlistedthermalperformance(R-value)level.ChartinformationcorrespondstonumerousstandardR-valuelevelsrepresentingcommonbuildingcodes,industrystandards,orlegislatedrequirements(seeexampleintheAppendixX1)andthereforeadditionalchartcolumnsmayberequired,i.e.,numberofpackagesper1000ft2(100m2),andinitialinstalledthickness.Thisguideappliestocoveragechartsforinstallationsinopen,horizontalatticfloorspaces.Chartmaximumnetcoveragesarebaseduponnetfloorarea;framingareadeducted.Slopedceilings,HVACequipmentandductwork,andotherfactorscansignificantlyinfluenceproductcoverageandaretobeconsideredbythemanufacturer.1.1Thisguideprovidesinformationtomanufacturersforthedevelopmentofaloose-fillthermalinsulationproductcoveragechart.Thisguideislimitedtodevelopingacoveragechartfromdensityversusthickness,apparentthermalconductivityversusdensity,andthicknessversusareamassrelationshipsobtainedthroughproducttesting.1.2Thisguideappliestoawidevarietyofloose-fillthermalinsulationproductsincludingmineralfiber(SpecificationC764),orcellulosicfiber(SpecificationC739)materials;granulartypesincludingvermiculite(SpecificationC516)andperlite(SpecificationC549);pelletizedproducts;andanyotherinsulationmaterialthatcanbeinstalledpneumaticallyorpouredinplace.1.3Coveragechartsforloose-fillinsulationproductsarerequiredbyregulationundertheUnitedStatesFederalTradeCommissions16CFRPart460.Othercountriesorlocalgoverningagenciesmayhavecoveragechartrequirementsinadditionto,orthatdifferfrom,thosepresentedinthisguide;seetheAppendixforexamples.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesstatedinSIunits,giveninparentheses,areprovidedforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
