【摘要】:Thicknessisoneofthebasicindexpropertiesusedtocontrolandtrackthequalityofmanygeomembranes.Additionally,manymechanicalproperties(forexample,tensileyieldstrength,puncturestrength,etc.)canberelatedtocorethickness.Corethicknessvaluesmayalsoberequiredincalculationofsomeparameterssuchasdiffusioncoefficientsortensilestresses.Themeasuredcorethicknessofgeomembranesmayvaryconsiderablydependingonthepressureappliedtothespecimenduringmeasurement.Toreducevariationinmeasurementsandthechanceofunrealisticallylowvaluesduetoexcessivelyhighpressures,aspecificgaugepointgeometryandappliedforceareprescribedinthistestmethod.Thetestmethodisapplicabletoallcommonlyavailabletexturedgeomembranesthataredeployedasmanufacturedgeomembranesheets.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaproceduretomeasurethecorethicknessoftexturedgeomembranes.1.2Thistestmethoddoesnotprovidethicknessvaluesforgeomembranesundervariablenormalstresses.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundvaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
