【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardprovidesameansforestimatingthelethaltoxicpotencyofthefireeffluentsproducedfromamaterialwhileexposedtothespecificcombustionconditionsofaphysicalfiremodel.Thelethaltoxicpotencyvaluesarespecificallyrelatedtothefiremodelselected,theexposurescenarioandthematerialevaluated.Lethaltoxicpotencyvaluesassociatedwith30-minexposuresofratsarepredictedusingcalculationswhichemploycombustionatmosphereanalyticaldataforcarbonmonoxide(CO),carbondioxide(CO2),oxygen(O2)(vitiation)and,ifpresent,hydrogencyanide(HCN),hydrogenchloride(HCI),hydrogenbromide(HBr),hydrogenfluoride(HF),sulfurdioxide(SO2),nitrogendioxide(NO2),acroleinandformaldehyde.Ifthefireeffluenttoxicpotencycannotbeattributedtothetoxicantsanalysed,thisisanindicationthatothertoxicantsorfactorsmustbeconsidered.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletotheestimationofthelethaltoxicpotencyoffireeffluentatmospheresproducedfrommaterials,productsorassembliesundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedinisolationtodescribeorappraisethetoxichazardorriskofmaterials,productsorassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafirehazardassessmentthattakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse;seeISO/TS19706.Theintendeduseoffiresafety-engineeringcalculationsisforlife-safetypredictionforpeopleandismostfrequentlyfortimeintervalssomewhatshorterthan30min.ThisextrapolationacrossspeciesandexposureintervalsisoutsidethescopeofthisInternationalStandard.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisInternationalStandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices.
